Tide Line

Oil and cold wax on panel 18 × 22 in 2024
Abstract coastal painting in muted blues and greys

Painted from a photograph so badly exposed that only the horizon survived. I kept it that way.

Cold wax makes the surface hold light differently through the day. From across a room it is almost quiet; up close it is all movement.
